AGREED.

Well, we sure were well fed yesterday... and today too for that matter. God I love left-overs.

As brilliant as the lamb stew was, it was pretty simple to make. I think it's a universal truism that the best recipes the world over all came from peasant food.

duuuuuuuuuude...now I'm gonna have to try that ~ the peeps in your house are well fed, eh?

For the record, I made that recipe for "Bea" (lamb) stew yesterday. Bought a butt-end leg of lamb, butchered it into chunks which gave me about 2 lbs of meat. Served it with garlic whipped potatoes, Irish soda bread, steamed cabbage and lots of pints to wash it down. Fokkin' delish.

Watched it last night. I'd pass on it if you have other things to do. It just sort of feels like he captured incredible footage of the Iraqi oil fires that he didn't know what to do with. The footage is amazing, but he sort of laid this sci-fi narrative over it.

I love these.

Me too, I love Herzog films. Been working my way through his filmography recently... Fitzcarraldo (a masterpiece), Little Dieter Needs to Fly, The White Diamond, Grizzly Man (superb), Rescue Dawn and last night saw Burden of Dreams- a documentary about the making of Fitzcarraldo. This series of Children's book narrations is really close to the mark.

Well said.

Thanks for the quality.

Lucy was a goddess... Sexy, talented, obviously smart, and man oh man, was she ever funny! Ricky Ricardo was the perfect foil for Lucy McGillicuddy- their chemistry was the best I've ever seen on the screen. I know that their marriage was unhappy, especially in the later years, I know about the allegations of abuse, I know about their children and the difficulties that they had. I know about all of those things, but the above video is how I choose to remember them- obviously in love, happy, funny, charming, talented.

Thanks for the memories, Lucy and Desi.

*quality stuff

I was in Harris County jail in Houston-$5600 in fines commuted to zero for time served...Sat.3pm to Wed.10am

In reply to this comment by therealblankman:
So best I can figure is you've either been at CPAC in DC, or in jail. Not sure which is worse, but if it's the latter- good for you for stretching out Mardi Gras so far! Either way, you were missed.

If you can, send me your booking photo, I need a new avatar.
