And then Monk's, it's a fucking classic, and I can appreciate more than anything else when people are willing to just spill stuff out and be honest and not give a shit, it's refreshing

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the day prohibition was repealed here in America and I have to say that I'm shocked that a quick search of "repeal day" reveals only 3 videos on the subject. Of these videos, only two are about prohibition and neither has been voted up.

Judging from the past discussions I've seen here, there are at least a few of us here who appreciate our right to drink and I think we should all celebrate. Starting with this video that vinovin has so graciously and intelligently posted:

Mas has been using the brute force method in Sifting his way to 250, and this can be proven by looking at his pqueue with an astonishing 227 submissions in it. So there's really no difference between the amount of effort it has taken him, and the effort put forth by a Silver diamond. A great number of his submissions are for the Videogames channel, which you probably know if you've ever run into Mas in a SiftTalk thread, where he has clearly identified his desire to take over the existing channel. He has sent a polite note to Oatmeal about it.

A word of caution about Mas, though. If you find him immediately behind you in rank you better go through your queue and check for *deads because he's going to. And if he does, don't take it personally, because his sifting style could be equally applied to any 8-bit videogame with great success. Congratulations, Mas, your dedication is impressive! Level UP!

Could we please organize it so that the invocation is put in front of the title? Some of the titles are tough to figure out and if you just want to put something into a category and you're looking for the invocation, well, your hair is not safe.

I'm thinking something like:

cooking - Good Eats
and so on?

Having planned to do doogle a congratulatory post, he pre-empted me with his own bio! Seeing as he's done a much better job than I ever could, I decided i'd have to use it:


A stickler for channel assignments, often completely off the mark with his comments, and principled yet courteous in his downvotes (which are way outnumbered by his upvotes btw), doogle has now reached the 100-level Star status.

Searching for some sensibility or pattern in his posted videos, his demographic reflects a misguided video-viewer with the eclectic mix of the intellect of an ADD stricken 50 year old with ADD 20 years ahead of their time, the imagination of a teen stuck in the 80s, and an average 28 year-old with penchant for anything weird/shiny.

Sadly, his whole source of media influence seems to revolve around VideoSift-generated memes. "I don't have TV" he maintains, to the silence of his indifferent detractors, as he seeks ways to continually improve his continual sifting of sifted VideoSift videos.

Now look at that, it's doogle all over. He trusts himself first. Never one to tiptoe around a point, always saying what he wants and aggravatingly usually being right. Doogle has no need of others approval here, he meanders along his own path, looking up occasionally to spell-check something or add a dry witted comment here and there. That makes him supreme cool in my book.

But he has an underbelly and sometimes he rolls on his back, so come give this quality member some recognition on his efforts and simultaneously his tummy a little scratch too
